It now is the so-called start of “awards season” despite this continued worldwide pandemic. Nonetheless, there is one film in particular that truly seems thus far to stand out for its stellar directing qualities: Nomadland, directed by Chloé Zhao. Her first (previous) film was The Rider, which I felt deeply from my personal background of epilepsy, and I listed it among my tops of the decade in my first podcast/vlog entry, “Not Another Vlog” – 101 – Top 10 Films of the Decade!
